My Review: 
I was not a fan of this book at all. It was the slowest story i have ever read! i had read about half when my friend asked me what the book was about, i honestly could not tell him! the plot dragged on endlessly and i was tempted to stop reading more than once. I just really did not get what it was about! and i marveled at why Em went for - obviously a love rat - Zack instead of lovely, kind, considerate JD in the first place! It also took way too long to tell you why Chase was being targeted as to most of the novel he just seemed like a sweet, love sick guy! I must say though that the last few chapter redeemed themselves, it had a lot of action and mystery, and was rather exciting... it just took way too long to get there.

My Review: 
This book was very very slow to start and took a little getting used to. However as the story progressed, so did the plot. it became a little more lively and exciting and rather interesting. I had no easy time trying to get myself to read this novel in the beginning but by the end I was willingly reading it happily. I must admit Heathcliff was creepy and I really disliked Linton, Hindley, Catherine and Joseph! I loved more characters than I hated though: Earnshaw, Nelly, Lockwood, Hareton, Little Cathy, Edgar and even Isabella by the end!

The novel was dark and twisted and out of around15 characters only about 5 survived by the end, even though the novel only covers roughly 40 years. This made it rather depressing, but the ending more than enough made up for it as it was filled with happiness and light with Cathy and Hareton's relationship, moving back to the grange and Nelly getting he charges back.
